集中供热, 也称为城市能源, is an integral part of the energy supply in towns and cities and works as a useful supplement to the electricity grid.
集中供热 is a flexible and waterborne heating system that utilises surplus renewable energy from local sources such as bio fuels, 废热和工业废热. This ensures that we make use of resources that would otherwise be wasted. 集中供热 is therefore an important contribution in the transition to a more circular economy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. 集中供热 can also help free up capacity in the electric grid and continues to be used as a renewable replacement for fossil fuels in construction and 行业.

集中供热 is about heating water. 实际上, a district heating plant can be compared with a central heating installation that provides one or more buildings with hot water. The hot water circulates between the heating plant and the customer’s premises in insulated, 地下钢管. The water can be heated in many ways. At Statkraft we use for example surplus energy from 行业, energy from sewage treatment facilities and landfill gas, as well as energy from oatmeal production and sea water.
